Spring Semester Calendar
Today in class:

• Semester 2 Map Countries
• Add the 50 map locations to the blank map.  These are the map locations you will be responsible for during our chapter tests this semester.

Homework: Finish this map activity if not completed in class. Complete your 2018 Goals assignment (3-5 Goals that you have for this year) by Friday. Continue working on your Ch. 5.1 homework.

• 2018 Goals Assignment
• Choose 3-5 goals you would like to accomplish this year
• Create an artistic list of your goals using color, art, your own handwriting, whatever inspires you.  Have fun!

Homework: Finish the Level Set before next Tuesday! Complete your 2018 Goals assignment (3-5 Goals that you have for this year) by Friday.

• Complex Civilizations Project Guide Day 13
• Prepare for the final by learning about the two civilizations that you did not research.
• Explore a civilization other than your own and answer the questions in the Prezi Project study guide.  Access the links to other civilization projects in the Prezi Project Links spreadsheet at the top of the study guide. 
• GLOBAL STUDIES FINALS STUDY GUIDE

Homework: Continue working on the project study guide AND check out the finals study guide above to prep for finals!

• Complex Civilizations Project Guide Day 12
• Video about Aztec Chinampas (Add this info to Aztec Public Works in the Study Guide)
• Prepare for the final by learning about the two civilizations that you did not research.
• Open the Complex Civilizations Project Study Guide, make a copy, and change the file name to: StudyGuide_PerX_LASTNAME_FirstName
• Explore a civilization other than your own and answer the questions in the study guide.  Access the links to other civilization projects in the Prezi Project Links spreadsheet at the top of the study guide.

Global Studies: Wed. 12/13/2017

Today in class:

• Complex Civilizations Project Guide Day 11
• Add finishing touches/ finalize any last edits
• Check List:
• Make sure all of your YouTube videos are set to either Unlisted or Public. We will not be able to view any videos that are set to private. (How to change your YouTube videos to Unlisted.)
• Your overview page (the first view of your Prezi) has the name of your civilization, the names of all group members, the name of your teacher, and your class period
• Eight Features/Characteristics of Civilization are present in the Prezi
• Each Feature has text and either a video or images
• There are a minimum of four (4) videos and four (4) images in the Prezi
• Research requirements (add these to your Prezi, see your research questions):
• Provide a map of your civilization’s location in your section for Cities
• Create/find a graphic for your Prezi depicting the social class structure in the Social Class section
• Show graphic examples of the Art/Architecture of your civilization in the section for that feature
• If possible, include a graphic example of the writing of your civilization in the Writing section
• TURN IT IN by midnight tonight! (See Project Guide for link.)
• Choose ONE (1) student from your group to complete the form. Make sure that the link your submit actually works before submitting it.

Homework: Turn in your Prezi link by midnight!

• Meet with group
• Embed videos into Prezi, add images, finalize text
• Go over the checklist with you partners to make sure you have completed all elements

Homework: Finalize all filming/editing of your videos and upload finished videos to YouTube. Continue adding text content and images to your Prezi.
