Global Studies: Tue. 11/14/2017

Today in class:

• Achieve3000 Thought Question Assessment
• STEP 1: Log in to Achieve3000 and click the link to the article titled "A Helping Hand?" then click on the Thought Question tab.
• STEP 2: Type the following prompt into the response box just like this: 
• PROMPT: Some employees might think that having microchips implanted in their hands by their companies is a good idea, while other workers might not like this idea. 
• A: Explain which position you agree with, and why.
• B: Support your response with facts and details from the article. 
• C: Give commentary on why those facts support your claim.
• C: Finally, conclude your reasoning by restating the claim you made in your "A" statement.
• STEP 3: Read the article and record any evidence that supports your side under Setting the Purpose.  Make sure this copies over to your MY NOTES.
• STEP 4: Write your ABCC response under the prompt and your notes.  Label each part of your response.

Homework: Begin preparing your Week 10-12 Homework Packet. 

Global Studies: Wed. 11/1/2017

Today in class:

• Story of India ABC² Peer Review
• Log in to last week's video notes about the story of India
• Read your prompt response.  Does your A address the entire prompt and use wording from it? Does your B have specific details, like proper nouns?  Does your C connect your evidence back to your topic sentence (A) and the prompt?
• Read your partner's response.  Help them make it even better!

Homework: Complete any work not finished in class.

• Practice ABC² writing using the prompts at the bottom of your video notes.

Homework: Finish your ABC² prompt response before Wednesday.
